iPhone Unlocked - Twice

So there are a couple of stories from late this week about people hacking the iPhone and unlocking it.  In both cases this unlock makes it work in the US with T-Mobile and will make it work more widely overseas.  Since I have an iPhone working on ATT’s network, I don’t see any need to do this hack myself, but I do admire the creativity and openness of the process and the effort.

 Here is a story about a software hack that if true seems quite nice and simple.

 Here’s another story about a much more complicated hack.  Can you say “solder?”  Can you DO “solder?”
