A short flash animation that shows what our world really looks like. It takes the basic proportions of the planet in terms of demographics, wealth, education and location etc. and restates those in terms of a 100 person world. Some of this data is eye-opening… like 6 of the 100 people in the world control more than half of the wealth. Nothing new, just a wonderful way to put your little world into a bigger perspective. We have got to find a way to balance some of the arbitrary inequities in the world. Obviously there are a number of things that can’t easily be changed… hard to bring a lot of water to a desert (and we probably wouldn’t want to) but sharing of material goods and ideas is something we can control.
