Could you shovel enough winter snow to cool your house all summer?

This is one of those interesting possibilities that is somewhat put to rest through careful analysis of the real world scenario. So is there a way to use the by-products of a harsh winter (snow) to make the summer more temperate (cooler)? It turns out you’d need a very big hole and an awful lot of snow.
