Google Maps Phone Feature

A disclaimer right up front… I haven’t actually tried this yet.  But in the world of Web 2.0, this seems like a nice invention and evidence of where a lot of this interconnectivity is going.  There is a new feature on Google maps which allows you to easily contact a business you’ve found via their search.  Here is the link to the Google blog page explaining the feature.  You find a business, you enter your phone number and Google calls you and the business and connects you.  Now of course Google also knows your phone number and I assume your IP address and they know you like wierd stuff on your pizza, but it saves you all that dialing time.  That’s a good thing right?  Saving your fingers from pressing 10 buttons?  What will I do with those 8 seconds?

They know a lot more than what you like on your pizza.
