Buddhist Sand Art

This is really amazing art.  Buddhist monks from the Namgyal Monastery in Ithaca, New York constructed a five-and-a-half foot Buddha sand painting…. then on the same day, they dismantled it.  They then deposited the sand in a body of water.  It’s art and it’s philosophy.  Plus, it’s a giant etch-a-sketch.
