Great Space Station Picture

The detail and resolution in this picture is really amazing. If there is ever something that could make you feel like you’re there, this comes pretty close. Fun stuff to look at. Below is some information about the land mass in the background from a Digg user.

“I can see my house from here! (well almost). That space station would be the ISS. The photo was taken earlier this year over New Zealand, and the peninsula sticking out at the bottom left is Banks Peninsula, with the city of Christchurch just above that (my home town). On the North Island just behind that aerial mast you can see a port – that’s Wellington, New Zealand’s capital city.”

iPhone Unlocked – Twice

So there are a couple of stories from late this week about people hacking the iPhone and unlocking it.  In both cases this unlock makes it work in the US with T-Mobile and will make it work more widely overseas.  Since I have an iPhone working on ATT’s network, I don’t see any need to do this hack myself, but I do admire the creativity and openness of the process and the effort.

Here is a story about a software hack that if true seems quite nice and simple.

Here’s another story about a much more complicated hack.  Can you say “solder?”  Can you DO “solder?”

Tracy Morgan on WGN-TV Morning News

He’s really coming into his own … this Tracy Morgan guy.  SNL was a nice start but 30 Rock (or Dirty Rock as he calls it) is letting him shine.  As is this clip from WGN Morning News in Chicago.  At least these anchors know how to let him shine.
